Materials & Process

CŌG is built on the belief that materials tell a story. Every piece is crafted with intention—honoring both artistry and sustainability—so that what you wear and bring into your home feels as meaningful as it is beautiful.

Recycled Metals, Thoughtful Craft

From the very first sketch to the final form, our pieces are designed to celebrate the natural qualities of metal. Every gold piece is cast in recycled brass and finished with premium gold plating, ensuring a rich, lasting finish with a minimal environmental footprint. Silver pieces are made from solid 925 sterling silver, chosen for its durability and heirloom quality. These materials are selected not just for their beauty but for their ability to stand the test of time.

Hand-Finished with Purpose

Each design begins as a tactile experiment—twisting, shaping, and refining forms by hand before casting. Partnering with skilled artisans in New York, our wearable works combines old-world techniques with modern innovation, ensuring that every piece carries both the precision of fine craftsmanship and the organic touch of the handmade. Imperfections are embraced, textures are intentional, and no two pieces are ever exactly alike. All hangings and wall works in our For Home collection are handmade by CŌG founder Jen Cogliantry in her Brooklyn studio.

Sustainability as a Practice

CŌG is committed to ethical production—minimizing waste, choosing recycled metals, and keeping manufacturing local to reduce its footprint. True sustainability isn’t about perfection; it’s about thoughtful choices at every stage of the process. This approach ensures that each creation is not only an object of beauty but also a conscious investment in responsible design. We're proud to partner with other organizations who share and support our goals: Shoppe Object, Powered By People, Faire, and our incredible retail partners.

Made to Be Worn, Lived With & Loved

We believe CŌG pieces a more than inanimate objects; they’re extensions of the person or space they belong to. Designed to move seamlessly between daily wear and statement moments, our For Humans collection invites interaction and become part of the wearer’s story. Whether worn on the body or displayed in a space, these sculptural forms evolve with time—gaining character, becoming keepsakes, and leaving an imprint all their own.

From the first moment a piece takes shape to the years it spends in your life, CŌG is about more than adornment—it’s about creating lasting connections through thoughtful materials and timeless design.
